At Kinzle Kids we believe:
*That children should be encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities, which encourages creativity, socialization, self expression and intellectual growth.
*Children should learn how to relate to others with respect and honesty.
*Time should be allowed for children to play in groups and individually.
*Activities should develop self-esteem and positive self image, as well as good communication skills.
*Parents and Providers should work together as a team and provide a positive experience for the children.
Our day begins upon arrival of the first child and ends upon departure of the last child each day. Children will be encouraged, but will never be forced to participate in any activity.
At Kinzle Kids Childcare we use a variety of techniques/methods when teaching your child(ren). We know that children learn at their own pace and that there is more than one learning style, and we do our best to utilize them all. We are committed to making your child's learning experience a memorable one. We make every lesson fun with arts/crafts, songs, finger play, puppet shows, worksheets (coloring, connect the dots, pictures, etc.), flash cards, and more. We do not aim to overload your child(ren) with information we only aim to teach them the fundementals; our activities are broken down into short sessions, depending on the amount of interest the children display, as a group or individually.
Children will be given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences during circle time. During this time we will also sing interactive songs, such as "The ABC's", "Wheels on the BUS", and "Five Little Monkeys". We will discuss the day of the week, the month, the year, and the weather. One child will be chosen to mark each of the calendar components. (children participate in circle time in the morning and in the afternoon, so that those children who were not present during the early morning are given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences)
Children will have the opportunity to be involved in a group activity daily. This may involve arts, crafts, science and discovery, games, puzzles, etc. Some days this will be a planned activity based on our current theme or skill focus. Other days the children will be given materials to work their own creations.
Children are given a 30 minute rest period daily. After 30 minutes the children who have fallen asleep will be allowed time to nap. For those children who have not fallen asleep by this time may play quietly.
During free play, children will choose their own games and activities. There will be a variety of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their growth and development. If weather permits we may go outside.
We enjoy nature. I can't say enough about this subject. We go on nature walks often, we explore as much of the natural wonders as we can, we look under many rocks, and examine the living creatures we come across (with adult supervision), including plants, animals, insects, ect. We are notorious for creating a home-like environment and housing an insect or spider for approximately 1 week while we learn about their characteristics and habitat, then together we release our friend back into the wild.
We celebrate birthdays and holidays. Each child will enjoy a dessert with their friends and a small gift from the Kinzle Kids bunch for his/her birthday.
